In a Tuesday announcement, the administration abruptly declared a one-year delay in the mandate that larger employers provide coverage for their workers or pay penalties. So this is a purely political decision, postponing the effective date of the mandate beyond next year’s midterm elections. So should businesses be relieved?

In a word, no. This just gives you more time.
